Bundlemonster plates problems.

I am new to the nail blog community and to nails period. I have bit my nails for so long the only polish I owned was a few bottles to keep my toenails painted. My mom got me a Konad stamper and scraper and the Bundlemonster plates for my birthday. (which is in a week) and I seem to be having a few problems with it.

1. Most of the polish comes off the plate when I scrape the excess off.

Now I know Konad makes special polish to stamp with but you can use some regular polishes. Just ask Sasse's stamping. I have been using my Art Deco polish which is number 1 on her list but cant seem to get it right.

2. I can never get the stamp to lay straight on my nail.

I know this will probably come with practice and patience but I cant seem to get the stamp to go on straight on my nail.

3. The full nail designs I cant even get on my nail because its either crooked or doesn't cover my nail.

I don't know how to fix this one.

I hope later on in my life when the time is right I can get the special Konad polish but its just not going to happen right now. :( If anyone has any Ideas on what can help me with my dilemma I sure would appreciate it.

Have a great day and a fun mani is planned for later today!!

  1. Hey hunny!

don't worry we've all been there

    My tips would be to:

    1) slightly file your stamper before you begin konading (you only ever have to do this once ever- then i would suggest not to do it again- just to make the tip rough so it catches the images)...i was having all\sorts of problems before i tried this.

    2) experiment with different colours...i use normal polishes...except for black and white, for this is use konads special polishes

    3) practice does make perfect...saying that i even fail at times =-/// the tip is to line it up perfectly and quickly before stamping your nail. xx

    4) monster bundles images are small - even some konads are small...there are some xl plates that are available see my post http://spellbindingnails.blogspot.com/2011/01/testing-my-new-plate-xl-plate-part-1.html

i never set out for my mani to be serious... because 7 times out of 10 it goes wrong somehow...however i do tend to learn what colours and polishes work..hope this helps

heres my blog if you want to check it out http://spellbindingnails.blogspot.com/ xxx
